Introduction
In order to improve the health of the people living in the North Central Province and ensure health security, projects aimed at implementing awareness programs, practical training, workshops, etc. at the Grama Niladhari Division level covering all Divisional Secretariat Divisions through Ayurvedic Community Health Medical Officers, providing the necessary infrastructure to bring about positive changes in lifestyle in accordance with Ayurvedic principles to improve the quality of life, and implementing necessary health facilities and health consultation services for the people who have difficulty in accessing health facilities are being implemented under this. These programs are being implemented under seven zones covering 29 Divisional Secretariat Divisions.

Nanupa Zone
The Nenupa region consists of 4 Divisional Secretariat Divisions. They are Nenupa, Manupa, Nachchaduwa, Mahawilachchiya and the gross population of these four D.S. Divisions is about 220,948 and the area is about 995.88 sq. km. There are 06 Ayurvedic Community Health Medical Officers currently working in this region.
Thambuththegama Zone
The Thambuttegama region consists of 5 Divisional Secretariat Divisions. They are Thalawa, Thambuttegama, Nochchiyagama, Rajanganaya and Galnewa. The gross population of these five D.S. Division is about 261,835 and the land area is about 1393.42 sq. km. There are 06 Ayurvedic Community Health Medical Officers currently serving in this region.
Kakirawa Zone
The Kekirawa region consists of 5 Divisional Secretariat Divisions. They are Thirappane, Ipalogama, Kekirawa, Palagala and Palugaswewa. The gross population of these five Divisional Secretariat Divisions is about 210,489 and the area is about 1193.81 sq. km. There are currently 03 Ayurvedic Community Health Medical Officers working in this region.
Kahatagasdigiliya Zone
The Kahatagasdigiliya region consists of 4 Divisional Secretariat Divisions. They are Mihintale, Kahatagasdigiliya, Horowpathana and Galenbindunuwewa. The gross population of these four Divisional Secretariat Divisions is about 189,009 and the area is about 1847.78 sq. km. There are currently 05 Ayurvedic Community Health Medical Officers working in this region.
Kebithigollewa Zone
The Kebithigolleva Zone consists of 4 Divisional Secretariat Divisions. They are Rambewa, Medawachchiya, Kebithigolleva and Padaviya. The gross population of these four Divisional Secretariat Divisions is about 167,688 and the area is about 1577.44 sq. km. There are 04 Ayurvedic Community Health Medical Officers currently serving in this zone.
Hingurakgoda Zone
Hingurakgoda Zone consists of 4 Divisional Secretariat Divisions. They are Hingurakgoda, Medirigiriya, Lankapura and Elahera and the gross population of these four Divisional Secretariat Divisions is about 257,568 and the area is about 1843.07 sq. km. There are currently 02 Ayurvedic Community Health Medical Officers working in this zone.
Dimbulagala Zone
දිඹුලාගල කලාපය ප්රාදේශීය ලේකම් කොට්ඨාශ 3 කින් සමන්විත වේ. ඒවා නම් තමන්කඩුව, දිඹුලාගල සහ වැලිකන්ද වන අතර මෙම ප්රා.ලේ.කො. තුනෙහි දළ ජනගහණය 237,509 ක් පමණ වන අතර භූමි ප්රමාණය ව.කි. 1609.83 ක් පමණ වේ. මෙම කලාපය තුල ආයුර්වේද ප්රජා සෞඛ්ය වෛද්ය නිලධාරී මහත්ම මහත්මීන් 01 අයෙකු දැනට සේවයේ නියුතුවේ.
